After reading Witch Chocolate Fudge, it is obvious that H.Y. Hanna has another hit on her hands with her Bewitched by Chocolate series. After Caitlyn is singled out as a suspect in the murder of the handsome and charming Lord James Fitzroy's cantankerous and disliked housekeeper, Mrs. Brixton, she and Pomie set out to find the real killer, to clear Caitlyn's name. In the meantime, lots of amazing chocolate is being concocted for the Manor's annual garden party by the Widow Mags with Lord Fitzroy's blessing (to the dismay of the villagers) and Caitlyn's help. Honestly, it is almost impossible to read this book without having chocolates close by -- the descriptions are so mouth-watering, and the different flavor combinations they come up with are amazing (hint read with plenty of truffles or fudge). The main characters are very likable, the Tillyhenge residents continue to be suspicious and many obnoxious as they disparage and avoid the Widow Mags Bewitched by Chocolate Shop, but they soon may be enlightened.
This book was a joy to read; the mystery of the death of the housekeeper, and the disappearance of the possibly enchanted bloodstone ring are intriguing and not totally resolved at the end of this book -- hence another book in the making -- Yay! I loved the bits of friendly magic used in the story. I highly recommend this book and the first book in the series, Dark, Witch and Creamy, and know it will become one of your favorites.
I purchased my copy of this second book in the series immediately after reading the first book. I was offered free copies by the author, H Y Hanna, but being impatient, I bought my own. They were more than worth the price, except, like the magically delicious chocolate in the book, two isn't enough. I'm hungry for the third.
Anyway, about the book in this one, our heroine, Caitlyn, is in the village of Tillyhenge, still investigating the mystery of her parentage, when the housekeeper of the manor is murdered. As you can guess without even starting the book, she's a suspect. Although I enjoyed this book even more than the first, I took off one star because there are references that the reader can only really understand by reading the first book. Do NOT let that dissuade you! Read them both! Even if like me you're really not into paranormal mysteries. It's entertaining. It's delicious. It's got a sweet, slobbering English mastiff, a delightfully, mischievous kitten, and lots of chocolate. Plus murder. What fun!

In this second volume, we find Caitlyn Le Fey, still staying above the Chocolate shop in a small town in the Cotswolds of England.
Caitlyn had found out she had magical abilities with Chocolate...lucky gal. But, still the one search Caitlyn was still looking for was...just who was her Mother and Father. Could she be the granddaughter of Widow Mags? Her adoptive cousin, Pomona is staying at the Huntingdon Manor just outside of the village of Tillyhenge. Of Course with that village name, there is a circle of stones, and just what their power is another quest for the shy redhead.
When the Manor suffers a mysterious murder of their Housekeeper, theft of jewelry, and strange produce in the Greenhouse, Caitlyn becomes a suspect and has to figure out the crimes.
This story is a marvelous mix of murder and fantasy. Who knows though, perhaps their are Chocolate Witches? I hope so. Now, I must await April 2017 for the next installment. You can be sure I will buy my own copy!
